Chef Chris Perkey brings over 20 years’ experience to the kitchen. A homegrown Midwesterner, Chef Chris spent the early days of his career working in Chicago restaurants, where he learned from inspiring culinary experts such as Tony Mantuano and Wolfgang Puck. He held positions at top-notch eateries including Spiaggia, Tuttaposto, Christopher’s American Bistro and Spago. It was through these positions he discovered his passion for real food, perfect ingredients and creative preparation.

Chef Chris moved to West Michigan with the opening of Grand Rapids restaurant Bistro Bella Vita where he spent three award-winning years. When he and his wife opened their own restaurant, EGR Firehouse, it received Best Casual Dining awards and positive national press. Most recently, Chef Chris opened the critically acclaimed casual Italian restaurant, Osteria Rossa, in downtown Grand Rapids. IRON is a long-time dream concept of Chef Chris’ that came to fruition on early 2016.
